The European Champions Real Madrid will try to sign the Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) winger Kylian Mbappe once again.
According to The Telegraph, the French star is likely to leave his current club PSG in the upcoming transfer window along with his teammates Lionel Messi and Neymar Jr.
Earlier, Mbappe had publicly criticised his own club for using his image too prominently on their promotional material for season tickets.
“I disagree with this posted video. It is certainly not Kylian Saint-Germain,” he wrote in a statement after its release, insisting he had no editorial involvement.
Madrid, who are currently trying to complete the signing of Borussia Dortmund’s midfielder Jude Bellingham, will also try to sign Mbappe to strengthen the squad.
According to the renowned journalist Fabrizio Romano, Madrid has already reached an agreement with the English midfielder on personal terms and he cannot wait to join the club.
The Los Blancos want Bellingham and Mbappe to be part of their new “Galacticos” team to dominate the world of football for years to come.
The 34-time Spanish champions tried to sign Mbappe last season but their €200m bid was rejected by the French club as they considered the World Cup winner “untouchable”.
He then went on renewing with the French side for three years which would keep him at the club till 2025.
However, it has been reported that the final year in Mbappe's contract is optional and it would make sense for other clubs to try to sign him.
As per reports, Madrid have already renewed the contracts of their midfielder pair Luka Modric and Toni Kroos who will stay at the club till 2024. There have been no official announcement yet.
The Los Blancos will be trying to renew the midfielder Eduardo Camavinga’s contract, who still has four years left in his contract but the club has opened talks for an extension with a higher salary and a bigger release clause.
